HERE ARE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUES WHICH I FACED WITH WHEN SHOOTING MY SHORT HORROR FILM VIDEO.
1. My actor had to run down a stair case therefore running quickly may injure my actor.
Controlling the measures:
- Practising the shot more than 3 times
- Not rushing and taking it slow (however speeding up in editing)
- Everyone on set watching his step
- Making sure the floor/stairs was clear so he doesn't fall and trip on any objects
2. Injuries to me or my primary actor resulting from electrical items.
Controlling the measures:
- Make sure no wet hands or bottled drinks etc are near any of the electrical items
- If having the use of dark lighting being very careful around the electrical items
- Making sure not to take the electrical items outside in bad weather conditions
3. Injury from dropping camera and camera equipment breaking (as majority of camera work is handheld)
Controlling the measures:
- Making sure the camera handle was secure on the hand before filming
WE ALWAYS HAD ACCESS TO A FIRST AID BOX AS WE CARRIED ONE ROUND WHILST FILMING ALSO MY FILM AND MEDIA TEACHERS WHO WHERE CLOSE ARE FIRST AIDERS!!!
